I would like to refer to the letter A woman's dress her own business . I am sorry but I have to differ with the writer's opinion.

Dress codes differ from one country or place to another. This is a fact that we have to admit. If one goes to one of the Amazon's jungle, it might be decent to just to cover one's crotch.

However, that dress code cannot be practised somewhere else. It would be very rude to go to office topless (for both men and women). I believe you would be sacked if you ignored your boss's warning on this. You are not to wear your sarong or shorts to the office as well.

I would also like to point out that in America (and the UK, Germany, France, etc), most local council regulations there don't allow ladies to go topless. Some cities do, but in general, ladies would be asked to cover their breasts when in town.

It is also common to see in America, signs on the doors of a store asking the customer to adhere to a minimal dress code for example probably a shirt, pants and footwear. If a customer does not abide by this regulation, that person can be stopped from entering the store.

It is the right of certain stores, offices, communities and countries to impose a certain dress code for certain places.

What you wear at home is your own business but what your wear in public is not totally your own choice only.

This is not related to the Taliban. Having a dress code does not mean demeaning both men or women.

And lastly, having a dress code does not mean that a woman (or a man) does not have a brain.
