Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali is still being investigated for misconduct during his tenure as Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) director, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) said.

MACC has been investigating Azmin for alleged mismanagement of funds during his time with PKNS.

The mismanagement was supposed to have occurred during a transaction involving the PJ Sentral Development Project.

According to a Bernama report, MACC investigation director Mohd Jamidan Abdullah said the investigators were still collecting evidence and information on the case.

“MACC will not reveal or give any information regarding this investigation till it is sent to the Attorney-General’s Chambers,” Jamidan said.

He said this after news reports surfaced yesterday of an NGO called Abdul Khalid Ibrahim Solidarity demanding an answer regarding the case.

NGO president Hazlan Shaffi Adil was quoted by Utusan Malaysia as saying that until now, no statement or decision has been received, despite numerous complaints from NGOs and individuals.

"We are still waiting for a decision to prove whether the charge allegations are real or not," Hazlan reportedly told Utusan Malaysia yesterday.

He added that MACC should be more diligent in doing its duties, especially in cases involving high profile leaders.
