Replace Najib with whom? All have Umno DNA

'Najib worse than Pak Lah, but no action from Umno'
Doc: It is difficult to say whose administration is worse, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s (Pak Lah) or Najib Abdul Razak's. Both administrations allegedly indulged in widespread cronyism and corruption, and both leaders’ actions in office were dictated by close family members.
Not to mention that both never really grasped the state of the nation – economically, politically, socially and pretty much in all other aspects. Both are certainly not charismatic leaders like Dr Mahathir Mohamad nor have similar IQ level to his.
But the question of Umno not replacing the highly ineffective Najib similar to what was done to Pak Lah, is a simple one.
Replace Najib with whom? Lets face it. All potential Umno leaders to replace Najib share the same ingrained Umno characteristics that Pak Lah and Najib have, which all of them have time and again exhibited.
Anonymous_3faa: No succession plan in place and not one of the current ministers have the calibre for the top post. Certainly not the current deputy prime minister or home minister, both of whom are devoid of cerebral mass of any worth.
And Najib going round the world in his private jet, self-praising before CNN television host Christiane Amanpour, instead of being a leader. Just a useless bunch riding on the same coach in the gravy train.
Straight Talk: The whole problem boils down to just one point - the thirst for power. Staying on without stirring up the hornet’s nest works to Najib’s benefit.
Multi Racial: Umno being where it is today has a lot to do with Dr Mahathir. They are still living in his era. Mahathir said Malays are lazy. Don't know which Malays he is referring to. It is wrong to have this stereotype. I have friends who are Malays and who are exceptionally hard-working and I also have friends who are also lazy.
And this is the same regardless whether they are from other races. It has got a lot to do with their upbringing and also the system they are engaged in.
To a large extent, Mahathir has a big role in creating what happened today. He criticised Abdullah and he also criticised Najib. Weren't both hand-picked by him? Weren't both selected from the hundred if not thousands of elite Malays he worked with?
If he is wrong twice, then it is not too much to think he could be wrong again. If Mahathir is sincere in helping the Malays, he would advocate introducing meritocracy. Teach them to fish and not give them fish. He should advocate introducing fairness for all.
SkyWalker: BN as a coalition performed dismally. However, Umno’s seats increased from 79 to 88. Najib should not shoulder the full blame of the coalition when the party he led improved their performance. In efforts for democratic discourse, we must also scrutinise what good has been done, and how his political opponents can, in turn ,sway the support he attained in the last general election.
Nonbeliever: The most serious sedition in Malaysia is corruption, corruption. Malaysia has "extreme corruption”!
Hearty Malaysian: Umno is a club to enrich those in power! Nothing more than that. Dr M, you know very well that every day is a bonus to the sitting PM and the Umno warlords. What is your problem? You had your fun but you now see you have chosen two failures in a row as your successors as you claimed, one worse than the other.
Do you think Muhyiddin Yassin is any better? We bet he would be worse and the next few Umno vice-presidents, they're even worse. No future for Umno, hence Umno continues to play racial card and fear to divert attention while the country is being ripped off!
Basically: Najib is the remote control PM that Pak Lah turned out not to be. That's why Pak Lah had to go.
Spinnot: There were perhaps more people apple-polishing Dr M when he was the PM. This culture is not new.
Mosquitobrain: Dr Mahathir, what you say is all right. What we say is seditious. What is even more pathetic is that Isma, Perkasa and the other Malay NGOs are all dead quiet. Their leaders are ridiculing their own race. In this case, PM Najib is being screwed openly by Dr M. You still call that fatherly love and advice?
At the rate PM Najib is going, he needs more than just the goods and services tax (GST) of 6 percent to help prevent Malaysia from going bankrupt! A country with abundance is being run by a bunch of thieves, shameless and sick people.
Speaking Sense: Mahathir asking Umno to be less corrupt and veteran journalist A Kadir Jasin criticising apple polishers and newspaper censorship? They have been looking in the mirror for too long.
MacMac: Only Malaysiakini will publish Kadir Jasin's comments, not the mainstream media.
Tok Karut: Thank goodness the Selangor saga is almost over. Now we can go back to the BN- and Umno-bashing for "tak de reform reform" since Dr M :)
Whatsup: Because Najib's a pushover with so much baggage, everyone in the party and every crony is benefitting and getting away with everything, so why get rid of him and end their windfall?
