Azmin Ali today skirted the key question whether he will be a "remote-controlled" menteri besar, just like the allegation against PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
Refusing to give a direct response, the newly-minted menteri besar promised he would adhere to the state constitution.
"I am driven by the state constitution and laws, as well as the policies approved by Pakatan Rakyat, which need to be implemented," he told reporters in Klang.
When PKR insisted on its president Wan Azizah being made the next menteri besar, critics declared she would be "remote-controlled" by her husband Anwar Ibrahim.
Azmin also refused to respond to questions that Wan Azizah would have been a "remote-controlled" MB.
"Let us move on. The decision has been made and I've take my oath. So I will work closely with all parties and ensure that what was promised to the rakyat is delivered," he said.
Azmin also admitted that his greatest challenge would be to get Pakatan Rakyat to be united in the state after a fractious couple of months over the menteri besar saga.
"This is the greatest challenge we have to face now and I want to make sure we are able to consolidate, and get everyone to participate in the state government," he added.
