Unbelievable fraud engineered
'Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.'
Abraham Lincoln, American president (1809-1865).
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has surprised me. Far from being an honest politician, he seems to be a consummate politician - power at all cost. The recent general election has shown just how low Barisan Nasional will stoop to remain in power.
No, it was not a resounding victory. Instead, our new PM is nothing more that an average Umno politician, only capable achieving power through fraud.
Deja vu, Tunku gained power by collaborating with our British oppressors, Razak gained power by declaring an emergency, Mahathir gained power - well, you know Mahathir. And Badawi, almost unimaginable - through electoral fraud.
I, for one, will reject this ruling party - they are illegitimate. Not only is the electoral process unfair, but the massive fraud engineered this time is just unbelievable. No, I cannot trust this political party with the well being of my country.
Reject this regime. The last pillar of democracy in this country - the general election process - has been tarnished by an average, short-sighted and insecure coalition.
