Selangor PAS commissioner Iskandar Samad today denied that he had been called to have an audience with Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah to be interviewed as the Selangor menteri besar candidate.
 
In a short response to Malaysiakini, Iskandar (left) said he is currently in a meeting and will be making a visit to a local municipal council this evening.
 
Iskandar was asked to respond to reports that he and two other PAS excos in the state had been called to have an audience with the sultan this week.
 
"Not tomorrow, not the day after tomorrow, not even next week," he said curtly.
 
Malaysiakini understands that the Selangor palace had summoned three PAS excos who were named as MB candidates in the first list sent by PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang to the palace last week.
 
The list was a controversial one as it was not as agreed in the PAS central committee meeting.

A second list was sent after another senior PAS leader was angry with the move.

The second list contained the names of two PKR and one PAS assemblypersons.

Meeting reported for today

A news site today reported that Iskandar was allegedly due to meet sultan today, while Selangor PAS deputy commissioner, Sallehen Mukhyi is expected to have an audience tomorrow.
 
The other exco, Yunus Ahmad Hairi (right) was said to expect an audience on Wednesday.
 
A senior palace official, when contacted, did not deny that the sultan had met state assemblypersons over the Selangor menteri besar crisis, but refused to comment on the matter.
 
Earlier today, a statement from the palace indicated that the ruler will also consider representatives who were not nominated by PKR, DAP and PAS for the MB post.
 
The sultan had stated that he is upset with PKR and DAP for submitting only one name, PKR president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail's, and they were being defiant (derhaka).
