The Selangor Menteri Besar crisis is a "personal crisis" of PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim which had dragged state institutions along with it, his former political secretary Ezam Mohd Noor said today.
 
Ezam, a former PKR youth chief, told Mingguan Malaysia in an interview said that the opposition leader the ‘Kajang move’ was something that Anwar executed to solve a "personal crisis", and had nothing to do with the Selangor administration.
 
"Anwar wants a trophy (MB position) not for the people, not because Abdul Khalid (Ibrahim, outgoing MB) did something that was against the wishes of the people and not because Anwar wants to do something for the people," he said.
 
"He had to do the ‘Kajang move’ and a lot of other 'moves' to change the MB to solve his personal crisis," he said.
 
Ezam (right) said this is not the first time Anwar had dragged "all state institutions" to solve his personal problems.
 
He also alleged that Anwar did not respect PAS as a party, and only wanted to use the Islamic party as a "tool" to achieve his personal ambitions.
 
"We have met Anwar and suggested to him that in order to champion our religion and race, we should sit together with PAS and unite, but Anwar vehemently rejected this idea. That means he does not believe in PAS' struggle," he said.
 
"The people in PAS need to understand this. Anwar is not someone who respects PAS as a party from the onset itself," he added.
