Tabung Haji (Pilgrims Fund), in its effort to provide the best service to Malaysian pilgrims, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure their needs are well looked after.

Its deputy chief for this season’s haj, Nurrinanuwar Shamsuddin, said the first batch of 413 pligrims who will be flying from the KL International Airport early today will be accompanied by Tabung Haji personnel to ensure they do not encounter any problems.

Information on their health and specific needs had been uploaded into Tabung Haji’s integrated information system and its personnel in Madinah were up to the task, Nurrinanuwar told Malaysian journalists in Madinah yesterday.

He added that among others paramedics were on standby to assist pilgrims having health progammes besides providing wheelchairs to those who need them as well as ensuring they do not suffer heatstroke because daytime temperature can exceed 50 degrees Celcius.

Nurrinanuwar had earlier attended a special prayer session together with some 100 Tabung Haji personnel at its Madinah headquarters at the Dar Siba building to pray for the pilgrimage this season to go smoothly.

According to Nurrinanuwar, the first batch of pilgrims was scheduled to arrive a the Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz Airport at 9am local time today and transferred to Tabung Haji Zone Two accommodation facilities at Hotel Anwar Al Madinah Movenpick by 11am.
