PAS rep urges party to join Pakatan against MB

David: Finally, one out of 15 PAS state representatives has spoken out sensibly. Where is the sense of urgency from PAS in making its decision on the matter?
 
Anything can happen from now until its Aug 17 meeting. And by then it may be too late. PAS, do not forget that the rakyat gave you the mandate as a member of Pakatan Rakyat.
 
For God's sake, decide today whether you are in or out of Pakatan.
 
Ferdtan: We shall remember PAS Hulu Kelang assemblyperson Saari Sungib.
 
Other PAS elders in the party are hypocrites - keeping mum and hiding their feelings until the party’s official meeting on Sunday.
 
Even if PAS were to join Umno, we hope that Saari be given a seat to contest (as independent or under any party banner he chooses) by the PKR-DAP coalition.
 
I guess PAS secretary-general Mustafa Ali is playing dirty for his president to ward off any internal opposition from the majority of the central committee members by twice postponing the meeting.
 
He and the president can dictate what dates to meet. This is to give MB Khalid Ibrahim and Umno enough time to manoeuvre and take over the state.
 
Kamikasi: At least PAS has one good man. The issue is about principles and integrity, nothing else. Definitely not race or religion.
 
Sadly PAS is not walking the talk. Only a blind man would fail to see MB Khalid Ibrahim’s agenda: to undermine Pakatan and pave the way for Umno to take over Selangor. 
 
SSDhaliwal: Saari is right - why gamble PAS' future over a disagreement over a candidate just because of her gender when most within the coalition have already agreed to her candidacy?
 
Why not speak to the common man and see if they disagree with Wan Azizah Wan Ismail being the next MB? I can assure even men will have no objection.
 
Jiminy Qrikert: Why does it take this long for even one PAS state assemblyman to voice their stand in support of PKR in this MB crisis when the party leaders have resolved to strengthen cooperation with Pakatan?
 
Is this simply a manouvering to pressure Pakatan to appoint a PAS man as MB? Or is PAS rejecting Wan Azizah because she is a woman and in Islam, as some Muslims believe, a woman cannot rule over a man?
 
If so, then in the first instance PAS has forgotten how it feels to be the victim of a power grab and have their MB removed ungraciously in 2009. Now they seem to be using the lessons learned from that occasion to inflict the same pain on PKR by grabbing the MB’s post.
 
In the second instance (on a woman MB), what really is the truth? Is that what the Quran says or is it a unique understanding of only Muslim Malaysians as in the Allah case?
 
It is increasingly apparent that PAS is as ungodly as Umno but is more treacherous and venomous because it clothes itself in flowing white robes while perpetuating untruths and blatant lies.
 
Debater: Here is someone from PAS who is sensible and mature politically to look beyond race and religion. To break the log jam, I think the next MB should not be Wan Azizah.
 
It is not that I do not support her but to avoid the insinuation of nepotism and also we needed someone with real political savvy and experience to govern Selangor through these turbulent times and to win back the trust of the Selangor voters.
 
There are many capable younger leaders in PKR and PAS. We must prepare for the retirement of aging leaders otherwise there will be a gap when they do.
 
Thinking Citizen_1403620863: Saari, we thank you for coming forward to be counted with many in Malaysia who love this country despite the country’s inefficiencies and many controversial issues.
 
We can see that we have voted for the right representative into the state government who walk the talk about being a part of the team. You have risen above all the racial and religious rhetoric which is trying to tear the country apart and tend to set one community against another.
 
Everyone makes mistakes and deserves to be forgiven when the mistakes are corrected and I believe that your party is entitled to it as well since other political parties are also not perfect.
 
Anonymous_3e21: I hope the faction in PAS that was proposing merger with Umno with the hope of redelineation of the electoral boundaries will make them have the full control of country is not serious about it as not only it is un-Islamic but will make PAS being transformed into a devilish party same as the other the-devil-we-know party.
 
Is it worth it, Abdul Hadi and the gang? PAS must make their stand now not delay it to Aug 17 as by then it will be a gone case. 
 
Dappy: I’m glad that another principled PAS leader has spoken up that PAS must not leave Pakatan, which would have been a betrayal of the people's trust and support.
 
PAS must live up to its name, and not smash the hopes of Pakatan supporters who voted them in. I hope PAS will not stoop so low as to join the devilish Umno.  
 
Lone_Star: With power comes great responsibility to do right by the rakyat. Selangor PAS Aduns (state representatives), remember you were empowered by the rakyat through Pakatan to govern the state responsibly.
 
The Selangorians have spoken in 2008 and again in 2013 - ABU (Anything but Umno). Let us not go back to the dark ages.
