PAS research centre operations director Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki continued voicing his opinion on the Selangor menteri besar crisis today, urging a national consensus government to be formed and involving BN representatives as well in the state government.

Following the consent by the Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah for Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to remain as the menter besar, even though he is now an independent member in the state assembly, Zuhdi, who shot to infamy when his controversial messages in a PAS chat group were leaked, said this would be the "best solution that will keep everybody happy".

"(PKR de facto leader) Anwar Ibrahim can be appointed as the chair or adviser for a Selangor consensus council that involves representatives from all parties," Zuhdi said in a statement today.

The former central committee member suggested that BN representatives be given roles, such as heading the Select Committee for Competency, Accountability, and Transparency (Selcat), while suggesting that Selangor retains Khalid as menteri besar and his current state executive council.

"A change in the state government now will affect the political stability of the state, until it will affect efforts to attract more investors to the state," he said.

Zuhdi has been vocal in his support for Khalid to remain as the Selangor menteri besar, and seems to be continuing his support despite Khalid's sacking from PKR.

Zuhdi's own party is yet to decide on their collective stand regarding Khalid, as that would only be decided at the PAS central committee meeting on Aug 17.
