Has MCA forgotten its 'don't let us eat egg'?

YOURSAY ‘Want to eat egg a second time? MCA sure is a glutton for punishment.’
PAS in fix if Selangor polls called, says Khalid Samad
Aries46: It is not necessary for PKR to make a case to convince PAS about Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim's alleged double dealings.
Khalid has clearly betrayed the people of Selangor in defying PKR's decision to replace him and that justifies his sacking from the party. The fact that he connives with PAS and Umno to hold the state to ransom is punishable.
Whichever way 'PAS for All' spins and deceives, it has lost the trust and support among non-Muslim voters due to these allegations of its recent betrayal and its race and religion extremists:
1. Colluding with Umno to implement hudud
2. Undermining Pakatan Rakyat by supporting the rebel MB
3. Scheming to set up a unity government with Umno
4. Plotting to dilute non-Malay votes by redrawing electoral boundaries in Selangor.
With due respect to PAS Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad, are these mere perceptions? If not, is this what an Islamist party is all about?
Maplesyrup: Although a snap poll may or may not deliver the mandate for Pakatan to rule Selangor, it is necessary to remove Khalid. Whatever doubt I have concerning his removal is now completely gone.
He showed his true colours, and plunging Selangor into this crisis. If Umno recapture Selangor, they have Khalid to thank.
Cry, My Beloved Country: Khalid Samad, I have had the greatest respect for the position you have taken publicly over many social, religious and political issues. I have followed closely your rationality despite the political price such clarity often calls for.
Having followed the controversy of the ‘Kajang Move’ from the very beginning, I am not at all surprised by so many worms crawling out of the rotting woodwork, the tattered political paltriness in which our beloved country is now adorned and presented for the world to gawk at.
A surprise, if any, is that it has taken so long.
Anonymous_1398660923: As admitted by some pro-BN leaders, Pakatan has the most number of smart and educated people in their line-up compared to Umno.
Therefore, Selangorians should support the smarter, more educated and ethical Pakatan candidates, not the less smart and educated but more filthy and crooked BN candidates.
Waktamnoko: Although Pakatan has the most number of smart and educated leaders in their line-up compared to Umno, politically they were more stupid compared to Umno.
They will only have themselves to blame if they lose Selangor. As for their dreams to Putrajaya, not by a long shot.
Race Neutral: It is still not the end if PAS salvage the situation by playing by the conventional rule on the selection of MB, that is, if it has been agreed from the outset that the MB should come from a particular party, the other parties should not interfere even if that chosen party wants to change the MB with another of their own member.
It is not too late for PAS to subscribe to this principle. If PAS does the right thing, I will still vote for PAS in the future.
Versey: Khalid is a respectable MP, but it’s sad to see that your party president is one that has time and again betrayed the people's expectation of your party to abide by the rules set in the Pakatan pact.
As such, if your party members care to go amongst the Chinese community, you'll find that most have silently vouched to support only PKR and DAP, but will dump PAS like they have dumped MCA.
Fair Play: Khalid, don't you think it is too late now to think about that? As you sow, so shall you reap.
Your president, Abdul Hadi Awang, should have known better than to openly support Khalid when PAS leaders, along with DAP's and PKR's, had already agreed that Khalid should be replaced as MB. Every cloud has a silver lining.
MCA wants snap polls to reclaim Selangor
Ferdtan: Selangor MCA secretary Ng Chok Sin, are you serious that you want a snap election in Selangor? Where were you in the 2013 general election?
Have you forgotten how MCA begged for votes when former party vice-president Donald Lim pleaded, “I hope the people will give us some votes. Don’t make us eat egg.”
And MCA did eat egg (it failed to win a single seat in Selangor). Want to eat egg a second time? MCA sure is a glutton for punishment.
Homesick: Even if there is a snap poll, are Selangorians that stupid to vote the bad old corrupt Umno-BN?
Just because there is a hiccup and don't forget, Selangorians, this hiccup is caused by none other than Umno-BN with its bottomless pit of money.
And they have their eyes on the few billion ringgit the Selangor government has got and want to get their dirty paws on it.

Abasir: MCA should lead the charge to recover Selangor. I'm sure all the Chinese would walk away from Pakatan and make MCA the single largest party in the state.
Indeed, its members should have more confidence in their leader... after they find one.
