PAS spiritual leader Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat today reiterated his support for beleaguered Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to continue as menteri besar.

“It is improper to divulge one’s shortcomings in the public,” he said, when commenting on PKR's allegations of Khalid's corrupt practices.
 
“I still stand by my statement and support to PAS president (Abdul Hadi Awang)’s statement not to replace the menteri besar,” he said, according to The Star.

“Like I have said before he has done no wrong so far,” Nik Abdul Aziz told reporters at his house today.

With Nik Aziz’s standing in PAS, his statement today will most likely affect the decision that will be made by the party on Khalid’s position as menteri besar.

Nik Abdul Aziz on July 27 had questioned the need for Khalid to go.

“I, just like many in the country, ask what wrong Khalid has done that he should be replaced as menteri besar?" he had asked.
