Dentists’ group ‘regains full set of teeth’
The Malaysian Dental Association(MDA) wishes to announce our reinstatement as a full-fledged association to represent and serve the interests of the dental profession. Thankfully the Home Affairs Ministry has studied and accepted our appeal.
The Registrar of Societies, based on a letter from the Home Affairs Ministry, has informed the MDA that we have been reinstated from July 3, 2014 and thus can continue with all our activities in accordance to the constitution of the MDA.
We wish to express our deep appreciation and thanks to all concerned at different levels of the government and private sector who have assisted us with great kindness, patience and understanding to enable us to be reinstated. We are humbly confident that the MDA has learned greatly from this unfortunate episode and will move forward stronger and wiser for the experience.
We thank the press and media for their concern and interest in the affairs of the MDA, and especially for their patience in awaiting the news of our reinstatement. Since we were pronounced, ‘Dentists Left Toothless by Deregistration’, we are delighted now to announce gratefully that ‘Dentists Have Regained A Full Set of Teeth’. We are ready again to serve our profession, the public and the world at large.
DR CHOW KAI FOO is honorary general-secretary, Malaysian Dental Association.
