Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma) president Abdullah Zaik Abd Rahman has trained his guns on PAS’ Mujahid Yusof Rawa and Umno’s Saifuddin Abdullah, saying they are not fighting racism in the country and that they are only “selling their religion”.

Abdullah was commenting on the newly-formed NGO to combat racism where Mujahid serves as the chairperson and Saifuddin, the deputy.

Referring to the two men, Abdullah added that they do not represent all Muslims as they only represent the “liberal” ones.

“They are just decorating their liberal fight with glittering slogans to dupe the people,” he said, stressing that Islam was a moderate religion and not a liberal one.

Mujahid and Saifuddin’s new NGO comes two months after NGO Negara-Ku was formed.

Abdullah pointed out that these individuals had come out with new NGOs because their own political parties could not accept their liberal agenda.

“The liberal movement in the West has failed but it has instead flourished in the archipelago (Nusantara) through NGOs, civil movements and local political parties,” he said.
