PAS is bring treated like a "doormat" by DAP following the leaking of chat messages showing a PAS leader discussing possibilities of the party teaming up with Umno, Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali said today.

Several DAP leaders have, over the last few days, demanded action be taken by PAS against its central committee member Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki for the opinions voiced in a mobile chat group, which also had racist undertones.

However, the DAP’s response has irked the fiery Perkasa chief, who accused DAP of trying, "yet again" to impose its will on PAS.

"For them, PAS is a doormat... DAP wants PAS to just follow its (DAP's) instructions," Ibrahim said in a statement.

He said PAS members "have freedom of speech" and that DAP should appreciate the fact that the PAS had "sacrificed" Malay votes in order to obtain more non-Muslim votes for DAP in the last general election.

"PAS has been seen as a furniture for a chauvinistic DAP, and that has made DAP very arrogant," he further charged.

Ibrahim said that if PAS continues to remain in Pakatan Rakyat, Umno will win 90 per cent of the Malay votes in the next election.

He further claimed that PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim was trying to install his wife Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as the next Selangor menteri besar to "ensure supply for his old days".

"DAP has got Penang, which is already rich and developed.

"PAS, think before it's too late," he urged.

PAS has so far not endorsed PKR's decision to install Wan Azizah as the next menteri besar of Selangor, in place of the beleaguered Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
