Water at two of the eight dams in Selangor is below the minimum level of 55 percent, according to the Selangor Water Management Authority (Luas).    

Statistics garnered from the Luas portal, www.iwrims.luas.gov.my , stated the level of the Sungai Selangor Dam as being at 33.46 percent and that of the Sungai Tinggi Dam, at 47.39 percent.   

Water was at the highest level at the Batu Dam, at 82.99 percent, followed by the Semenyih Dam (77.87 percent), Klang Gates Dam (70.66 percent), Subang Lake Dam (67.14 percent), Langat Dam (63.26 percent) and Sungai Labu Water Retention Pond (59.57 percent).  

The Selangor government had imposed water rationing in stages in the state to balance the supply of water in several areas during the dry spell.
