Pertubuhan Martabat Jalinan Muhibbah Malaysia (MJMM) today urged the police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to take stern action against the individual who had alleged on social media that the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah, had become an apostate.    
 
Its president, Abdul Rani Kulup Abdullah, said stern action must be taken to prevent people from disrespecting the institution of the monarchy.     

"These irresponsible people cannot be allowed to go without punishment. The authorities must arrest them and impose the appropriate penalty," he told reporters after lodging a police report at the Kuala Kangsar District Police headquarters.     

He said insulting a ruler or sultan was an uncivilised act that should not go unpunished.
