Ikatan Muslim Malaysia (Isma) president Abdullah Zaik Abd Rahman's trial has been scheduled for three days from Oct 13 at the sessions court in Kajang.

Sessions judge Nor Hazani Hamzah, set the date in chambers today during case management.

Lawyer Haezreena Begum Abdul Hamid was reported in the Isma website as saying that they have received six documents from the prosecution including, the first information report, at scene of the incident report, forensic report, police forensic report and the search list.  

Abdullah Zaik (right) was charged last month under Section 4(1) (b) of the Sedition Act 1948, and an alternative charge also under the same Act, for labelling the Chinese as intruders, in an article titled "Kedatangan pendatang China bersama penjajah British satu bentuk pencerobohan." (The arrival of Chinese immigrants together with the British is a form of intrusion).

Abdullah Zaik faces a fine of RM5,000 or three years' jail or both if found guilty.

The prosecution is led by DPP Manoj Kurup.
