Would not taxes for drinking alcohol, eating pork or buying four-digit lottery constitute sin tax? PAS should prepare a tax profile of offenders and use their money only for people of the same kind. Too tedious? Why not just lump all taxes from non-Muslims as sin tax and use it solely for non-Muslims?

Better still, let's partition Malaysia into Muslim and non-Muslim states whereby non-Muslim states are accorded autonomous status. It seems that what PAS is currently doing smacks of Zionism whereby, the predominant race lords it over minority groups in terms of religion and law.

Under PAS religious dominance, will non-Muslims be like the Palestinians, who have their civil and religious liberties severely curtailed under the guise of moral security and have to toe the 'Jewish' lines of segregation? Kelantan and Terengganu already bear the signature of PAS.

I will not take any chances with my future and my children's future. PAS has proven time and again that it cannot work cohesively with any of its opposition partners. It is ideologically miles apart from almost every political party and its attitude is more in common with the religious extremism of the Taliban and the arrogant tyranny of warlords, both of which have contributed greatly to the demise of a hundreds of thousands of innocent lives in Afghanistan.

It is a price that I will not pay and I am sure most law abiding, peace-loving, God-centred, non-Muslims and Muslims will not either.

It might be worthwhile for PAS leaders or anyone for that matter to listen to the words of Paul, an ambassador of peace, who wrote 2,000 years ago, "Bear with one another charitably, in complete selflessness, gentleness and patience. Do all you can to preserve the unity of the spirit by the peace that binds you together."
