In a blog posting today, the former Perkasa leader urged the authorities to take stern action against Penang Deputy Chief Minister II P Ramasamy.
This was over the DAP leader’s response to Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, who did not rule out the possibility of another racial riot taking place.
Among others, Ramasamy said while Gerakan, MCA and MIC might be frightened by this statement, DAP was not afraid.
Zulkifli said Ramasamy’s statement contained elements of instigation and could threaten the peace and security of the nation.
"I call on the authorities, especially the Multimedia and Communications Commission (MCMC) and the attorney-general to be more aggressive and drag extremists as well as religious and racial extremists to face justice," he added.
He also reminded Ramasamy that the May 13, 1969 bloodletting between the Malays and Chinese was a result of “DAP’s racial politics” and religious extremists.
In the same posting, Zulkifli also expressed support for Muhyiddin.
“For how long can Malays and Muslims be patient in seeing their religion, race, country and rulers being insulted, criticised and degraded?” he asked.
The former PKR lawmaker warned that the provocative actions of chauvinists and religious extremists have caused dissatisfaction among the Malay-Muslims.
"These chauvinists have been lucky so far because the Malay-Muslims are still patient and willing to compromise in accordance with the teachings of Islam which emphasises on peace and unity," he said.
