I am sad to hear that some Malaysians claimed that their church or temple does not get any help from the government. But being Muslims in Malaysia also does not mean that they get all the privileges.

- Most of the mosques (surau) that are suspected of belonging to 'opposition' groups do not receive any contribution from the government. We in the opposition also pay our taxes and that money was denied just because we don't agree with the government policies.

- We, Muslims, no longer have the chance to learn our religion just because we are from the opposition groups. For the authorities to blame the mosque as the place to create hatred towards the government is very unprofessional.

- Sekolah Agama Rakyat were closed down because of the same reason. Tell me which school teaches students to hate any individual or government. Again, Muslims students suffer just because their parents are part of the so-called opposition.

- Some mosques that belong to the public were raided and all their appointed members were forced to resign. Too bad if the authorities elect someone who is not local to be in charge of the mosque and who is not qualified to hold the position.

- Even worse, there were cases where surau were destroyed just because there were activities ran by the so-called opposition.

If the government does not give contribution to churches or temples, the same thing applies to some Muslims' religious places. It is too bad that the government that treats some people unfairly in Malaysia managed to rule this country for so long. So, ask yourself if you want the same government at the next elections.
