Muhammad Abdullah commented in his letter that only PAS supporters and sympathisers frequent mosques. Umno members and fence sitters like myself merely visit a mosque when the Sultan or menteri besar comes.

His statement reflects the arrogance of a PAS supporter. How did Muhammad come to such a conclusion? I do not see those coming for prayers or kuliah carrying a banner, flag or displaying a stamp their forehead to show their political allegiance.

I believe that once we step into 'Rumah Allah' we should leave politics outside and enter the mosque fresh to pray and learn about Islam. Life is short, and there is much to learn and improve ourselves.

A mosque should be used as part of a way of life but not to incite hatred and anger towards Muslim brothers and sisters. Because of politics, we are divided and we have Umno mosques and PAS mosques. The political parties have created hatred and anger just to win support. Umno or PAS, it makes no difference.

If PAS comes into power, they too will elect their own people to run the mosques and use it as their tool, just is happening in Kelantan and Terengganu.

But just because many do not support Umno, it does not mean that they support PAS or Keadilan. We can remain neutral.

I agree that Umno and BN have flaws and have made many mistakes. But if PAS intends to takeover the federal government, it will have to show that it is worthy of running the country. At the moment, it has not.
