Adding to the discussion over a letter written by Patriotic School Leaver, it is sad to see people like Muhammad Abdullah underestimate the capabilities of our youth today.

Muhammad Abdullah, I do hope you change your perception on the youth. Youth, especially teenagers, are much more capable and outspoken compared to previous generations - thanks to the Internet and a growing open society.

In the past, youth were restricted from voicing their concerns and had no choice but to swallow whatever is given. Today, the traditional thinking of being 'too young' has faded away and youth are slowly being taken seriously by adults.

I was a teenager like him three years ago and my circle of friends do discuss current issues such as politics and development. The same 'education system' urged us to read too, naturally we become exposed to current issues. Being a teenager is not just about having all fun and games, you know.

Why is it so hard to understand the problems of today's youth? As a teenager, I too undergone the same unfair situation as Patriotic School Leaver. This is no lie. I'm glad to see our youth like Patriotic School Leaver voicing out their opinion. It is not necessary to be an adult to realise the problems in our country.

This comes to show that the education system is more problematic that we thought. Wake up guys! Teenagers are humans too!
