I had related to your reporter that Abd Malek Hussin had resigned as political consultant to Parti Keadilan Rakyat president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail even before he took up appointment as chairperson of the Malaysians for Free and Fair Elections (Mafrel) steering committee. It was nevertheless still reported as such in your otherwise timely report.

As Mafrel's information officer, I therefore call for a correction to be made so as not to create suspicion of any lack of independence of Mafrel as far as party politics are concerned.
