The letter by Baradan Kuppusamy detailing the high court case adjudged by the late Harun Hashim brings up the case of bureaucracy at its worst affecting a person at his hour of need in a court.

I doubt it was deliberately delayed by the late judge, as we know that judges have a pile load of backlogged cases to handle. But one can understand the uneasiness of a person if his case was 'lost' with no word or explanation available for an undue period of time, and a decision suddenly emerges just prior to the judge's retirement day.

At least the judge took the trouble to hear the case, else he could have simply chucked it aside to save himself any problems or work.
