Jais says wedding crashers will be punished if guilty
Negarawan: "(Jais Public Relations and Publications Unit deputy director) Nurhamizah Othman said that Jais procedure states that any operation which may involve non-Muslims must first get approval from the Jais top management and the state executive councillor in charge."
But Jais don't need the approval of the non-Muslim parties at all? Jais must not be allowed to intrude and interfere dictatorially into the affairs and rights of other people's religions.
If there is any contentious issue by Jais, the right approach is to discuss it with the authorities of the other religions, and not forcefully barge into temples and churches, and confiscating properties, holy books, corpses, and brides.
Jais must think what would happen if members of other religious groups were to barge into mosques and do the same thing. If Jais cannot accept this, then why should other religions accept what they had done?
If cases such as Zarina Abdullah Majid’s are investigated properly and fairly, the primary fault often lies in the authorities themselves.

Imagine, the bully boys investigating other bully boys. Who in their right mind could ever expect that there will be any independence, impartiality or integrity from this “internal investigation”.
The report will say that it was the result of a misunderstanding in communications - Jais was given the wrong information, they went to the wrong address, they were supposed to raid a shop selling books with the word “Allah” in it, blah, blah, blah.
As we have all come to expect, this will be the end of the matter - no action, no reprimand, no accountability and no further action. Case closed.
CQ Muar: Way to go, Nurhamizah. This country, for that matter Jais, needed people like you to counsel these religious enforcers in order to put things in order so as to avoid further abuse of unwarranted power.

Oh Ya?: Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim and the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat state government cannot run away from its responsibility by a mere rebuttal.
They have all the powers to punish the wrongdoers who apparently are not following the state exco's instructions to seek their approval before taking any action that has an impact on non-Muslims.
They have to punish the wrongdoers in no uncertain terms to send the right message. Failing to do so would be irresponsible and a betrayal of the people's trust and support bestowed upon them.
Malaysian 53: What investigation is there to conduct? It would not take one hour to investigate and determine the truth if there was any approval from the top officers of Jais or the MB's office.
Let Jais get the National Registration Department (NRD) to change Zarina’s name and religion. This would not take months and if they are really sincere it can be done in a day.
