Umno has made a policy decision to support the implementation of hudud in Kelantan, come September 2014. A technical committee has been formed for this purpose between Umno and PAS.
All MPs from Gerakan, MCA and MIC must vote for the implementation of hudud in Kelantan, together with Umno MPs in Parliament. If they refuse they will have to leave the BN coalition.
If Umno withdraws its support for PAS for the implementation of hudud, PAS will win a huge moral victory. Support for PAS in the rural Malay heartland will increase. Umno has successfully gambled that its survival does not depend on non-Malay votes, as shown in the Teluk Intan by-election.
If Mah Siew Keong is to vote against hudud in Parliament this September, all Malay voters will vote against him in the GE14 and he will have only five percent Chinese support in Teluk Intan.
When PM Najib Abdul Razak shows his big rotan in Parliament, Mah will be forced to vote for hudud, as demanded by Najib - or Gerakan leaves BN.
Karma: If the 238-vote majority went to DAP, the talk will be almost the same for the proud BN. Like in Kajang, despite losing, the BN even said there was a swing of Chinese and Indian votes to the BN.
DAP is more credible to say it lost due to lack of support from locals and the low turnout, mainly because of the absence of outstation voters. Nothing much can be said about increase in support for BN with such low turn out of 67 percent.
Either party could have won. BN was lucky this time.
Swot Strategist: The rakyat are the real winners because both DAP and Gerakan are multiracial parties that have common, unbiased principles to fight for fairness, justice and freedom.
As a Malaysian, with many close relatives of different races and religions, I am doubtful any of the raced-based or religious-based parties like Umno, MCA, MIC or PAS can focus exclusively to fight for these principles in a multiracial country like Malaysia.
All the race-based and religious-based parties must be exterminated if future Malaysians are to blend into the global society.

Gerakan may have won the election, but fear is written all over their faces. Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud is a novice. A Malay. And female. And her first time.
DAP is brave enough to put her as a candidate, and if she stands again, she will win. No doubt about it.
2 Tim 1:7: I note that it is Najib who is reassuring MCA chief Liow Tiong Lai. But some years previously it was the same Najib who allegedly waved a keris before a Malay mob in Kampung Baru. A tiger can never change its stripes.
In 2006, Najib’s bodyguards murdered the pregnant Altantuya Shaariibuu in cold blood. To date. nobody has been convicted of the gruesome crime and Najib has never testified in any of the court cases held in connection with the murder.
The MCA must heed the lessons of the past. Surely it cannot forget that immediately after GE13, Najib spoke of the ‘Chinese tsunami’, a circumlocution for the alleged perfidy of the Chinese community.
But sadly, the MCA seems to be happy with this master-slave relationship, content to pick up the measly crumbs Umno tosses in its direction. Several decades ago, Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew referred to the MCA leadership as political serfs. Not much has changed since.
Bluemountains: The Chinese of Teluk Intan who voted for BN will be in for a great disappointment. The promise of a university will not bring them any benefit.
It will be status quo and they will still have to use their hard earned savings to send their children to private universities, locally or overseas, because of the quota system. It is too late now if they have swallowed it hook, line and sinker.
AA: There are harsh words against Chinese who voted for Mah. I am not a supporter of Mah, but I would just like to point out that every Malaysian of age is entitled to vote for whoever he or she thinks is the better candidate for whatever reason.
One is also entitled to disagree with a voter for his choice of candidate, but one must ultimately respect his right to cast his only vote for his chosen candidate.
Klick: So now there will be a university in Teluk Intan? Also, with faster Internet connection, and Rela will have new uniforms. What else, a highway? But we are still under the same bad government.

But behold, the revolt against Umno's government has begun. And it's gathering momentum like a herd of galloping horses, unrestrainable and unstoppable in the direction it is moving.
For the good will always prevail over the evil, right will prevail over wrong, and liberty will triumph over tyranny.
