Desertion will not help the nation
LCH's letter seems to indicate one should be forced out from his or her place of birth should he or she faces negative effects or discrimination from the ruling party.
But why should we? We have every right to try to gain back and not concede defeat. I am not talking about a physical battle which kills, but battling the discrimination indirectly. After all, we were born here and why should we be forced out the country of our birth?
Despite feeling that the lousy policies are against us, we have a better chance of succeeding in this country than in other countries. Correspond and assist other people of political parties who are struggling in line with your type of thinking.
Everyone born here has the right to have some say, however minute an amount, in the running of the country. Malaysia is our place of birth and no policy should be allowed to remove one from his/her place of birth unwillingly. Rome was not built in a day so do not expect Malaysia to be either. But deserting it will not help its construction.
