I read with disdain Sheela's letter (' Engage Americans, Europeans and Jews, not Israel ') calling for collaborative efforts against Israel and Zionism and wonder what's her point. Her misplaced angst is contradicted by her repeated inconsistent remarks and gross generalisation throughout.

But I guess this is what sets malaysiakini apart providing an avenue for all and sundry to air their confusion and conviction, leaving it to the wider audience to assess the worth of each individual's rhetoric.

What exactly are we to do if we are to oppose Israel, Western imperialism and colonialism, and reject all the "downright stupid" but "all right things" Sheela suggested because of all the negative influences shoved down the throats of middle-path Asians?

And how does she propose integrating the presumed major world religions by choosing only those elements agreeable to Islam so that the heathen West could be overthrown eventually by a liaison with Western socialists sympathetic to what cause?
