Zulkiflee, who is better known as Zunar, said the 52-page book holds 50 cartoons.
Published in the Malay and English languages, it will be launched at the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow night.
The book will be jointly launched by Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar, former Bersih 2.0 chairperson S Ambiga and national laureate A Samad Said.
“Through this cartoon, I expose the roles played by the political leaders, judges and people who act as victims in the devious plot.
“Those actors just follow the script to defame and persecute (parliamentary opposition leader) Anwar Ibrahim, to ensure that they remain in power. The allegation of sodomy is the main crux of the dirty plot,” Zunar said.
'Cartoons not about Anwar as a person'
He said the cartoons were not about Anwar as an individual but as a person being made a victim of injustice, orchestrated by those in power using the judiciary, the police force and the Attorney-General's Chambers.
Zunar said the book would not be sold in book stores but would be available online through his website for Bahasa Malaysia copies at http://bit.ly/1nbMW9b and English copies at http://bit.ly/1lCPHJS.
The political cartoonist, who has been arrested and detained under the Sedition Act previously, is no stranger to controversy as some of his past works, such as “1Funny Malaysia” and “Perak Darul Kartun”, have been banned by the government.
