I have read the mail on the pro and cons of allowing Chin Peng to return. I would like to add another point about which many people in Malaysia have selective amnesia.

We have forgotten too that many Indonesians, including Malaysians, were forgiven for the Konfrontasi in which many civilians and soldiers in Sarawak also died. Not only that, one of the supporters actually became the governor of Sarawak.

That was a perilous time for Sarawak and Malaysia then was almost helpless without the help of the British Army. So if that was good enough for Malaysia then, why is not good enough for Chin Peng now?
