I strongly disagree with Jalil Sikana's opinion that the Plus North-South highway is only congested during the Hari Raya and Chinese New Year holidays hence there is no justification to add more traffic lanes.

Such a remark shows that Jalil has not been using the highway frequently. I on the other hand, have to travel between Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru to visit my in-laws twice a month.

From my experience of using, taking at least one hour just to pass.

the Plus highway for the past three years, if there is any public holidays which fall on Friday or Monday, there would surely be a massive traffic jam on both directions of the short Kuala Lumpur-Seremban stretch

I hope contributors to this excellent letter column know the real situation before passing such remarks in future. In my humble opinion, it is high time Plus upgrades its highway to serve the growing numbers of cars in our country.
