Karpal's maid still in critical condition

The Indonesian maid travelling in an MPV that was involved in a deadly crash which claimed the lives of Bukit Gelugor MP Karpal Singh and his personal assistant, was still in critical condition.
Selfiana Rengga, 24, who also suffers brain bleeding, is still unconscious.

Selfiana Rengga, 24, who also suffers brain bleeding, is still unconscious at the Intensive Care Unit of the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh, said Kampar police chief Supt Ng Kong Soon when contacted.
The maid was seriously injured when the MPV was said to have knocked into the rear right end of a lorry which was moving slowly on the left lane at Km306.1 of the North-South Expressway (NSE) near Gua Tempurung at 1.10am yesterday.
Karpal and his personal assistant, Indian national Michael Cornelius Jayakrishnan, 39, died at the scene while his son, Ramkarpal Singh, 38, and the driver of the MPV, identified as Indian national C Selvam, 27, escaped with slight injuries.
Ng said Michael Cornelius’ remains would be flown to India tomorrow.
