A crane operator fell to his death when the machine he was operating broke and collapsed from the 11th floor of a building under construction in Ara Damansara in Kuala Lumpur this morning.   

The victim was a 26-year-old man from Johor.     

Selangor Fire and Rescue assistant director of operations Mohd Sani Harul said they received the distress call about 9.01am and reached the scene 20 minutes later.     

The mishap was confirmed by Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed who said the case was under investigation.
