'Blue Wave Army' mooted to repel 'Red Bean Army'

BN Publicity and Information Bureau chairperson Ahmad Maslan today suggested forming a cybertrooper unit to answer allegations from the opposition's purported ‘Red Bean Army’ (RBA) cybertroopers.
Ahmad, who is keen to name it 'Blue Wave Army,' said it could also provide authentic explanations to the community on issues that were frequently distorted by the opposition such as the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
"Most importantly, we will not follow their way. We will not slander and only tell the true story and on matters that need to be explained to the people.
"But if they attack us, we will reply. We will not allow them to attack us just like that," he told reporters after officiating the Cheras Umno division convention themed 'Sympathise with the people's problems' in Kuala Lumpur.
At the convention, Ahmad (right), who is also deputy finance minister, also provided information on the GST that will be implemented from April 1, 2015 besides replying to questions raised by the residents on current issues.
Ahmad added the GST implementation would not be postponed even though some in the opposition were insisting on that, to the point of wanting to organise a gathering to oppose the GST on May 1.
He added the GST system was more transparent and had been in use in many developed countries.
“We have deferred the GST implementation a few times and this time we are also giving ample time before it is enforced.
"If there are some who said GST will raise prices, that is not reasonable because all this while we are paying sales and services tax, compared to only six percent for GST," he said.
