Only one area, Balok Baru, Kuantan recorded a moderate Air Pollutant Index (API) reading of 64 as at 7am today.
Only one area, Balok Baru, Kuantan recorded a moderate Air Pollutant Index (API) reading of 64 as at 7am today.
According to the Department of Environment (DOE) portal, another 51 areas recorded a good API reading, including Kota Tinggi (28), Langkawi (25), Nilai (47) and Jerantut (23).
An API reading of between 0 and 50 is categorised as good, 51 to 100 (moderate), 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 to 300 (very unhealthy) and 300 and above (hazardous).
Members of the public can refer to portal http://www.doe.gov.my for API reading updates in their respective areas.
