Eight areas in the country recorded moderate Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as at noon today.
Eight areas in the country recorded moderate Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as at noon today.
According to the Department of Environment (DOE), the eight areas are Larkin Lama (51), Pasir Gudang (60), Nilai (60), Port Dickson (58), Seremban (58), Perai (53), Banting (69) and Port Klang (52).
An API reading of between zero and 50 indicates good air quality; 51 to 100, moderate; 101 to 200, unhealthy; 201 to 300, very unhealthy and over 301, hazardous.
The public can refer to the DOE portal at http://www.doe.gov.my for the API reading in their areas.
