YOURSAY 'Zaid, where's the stability now? The nation is hanging by a thread.'

Zaid now sings 'Vote BN for stability'

Not Smart: Zaid Ibrahim your statements appear to be intimidating and threatening to voters that if BN loses with a bigger margin it would push Umno to the extreme right. This is not your true self to be singing this tune. Are you being paid, or something awaits you after the Kajang by‑election?

Appum: Zaid Ibrahim, a vote for BN is for "stability" as you said, or for further stupidity? The missing MAS MH370 incident and the conduct of our top civil servants including our ministers are not being criticised by the locals, but mainly by the foreigners and their governments.

This is an international stage not a kampong wayang show. Can you deny we don't have the expertise to analyse the raw data about the missing plane? All those top men are just figureheads who are supposed to be experts in their fields, but can't interpret raw data.

This scenario is like these people are recognised as mechanical/industrial engineers in status but in real terms they are of machine operators level. Zaid, don't try to put fear into the peoples' minds, they have lived here long enough to know and experienced what all this politics of "moderation" is all about.

We need to change and not live in denial

Haveagreatday Zaid, where's the stability now? The nation is hanging by a thread, no thanks to the extremist activities of the racists and religious bigots condoned by the Umnoputras. As long as the Umnoputras have not put into place actions that will lead to a more civil, just and democratic society, I'll not vote for BN.

Foodforthought: Zaid, with Umno‑BN's demise Malaysia will have stability.

Myop101: Sorry Zaid. If appeasement works, Hitler would not have invaded Europe. Similarly, if the extreme right insists on holding on to their evil ways, no amount of enticement or appeasement will bring them to the moderate side.

They are ticking time bombs that will explode any time unless the government has the will to call them out for whom they are and deal with them with equal zeal and tenacity, as how they have dealt with the opposition.

Anonymous #63753867: Zaid Ibrahim, why didn't you remain with the corrupt, racist, crooked Umno if you thought that Umno can provide stability? Look at Penang, is it not stable? Look at Selangor, is it not stable? With PAS, DAP, PKR there are enough checks and balances.

James TCLow: Zaid, you are a confirmed wooden horse made in Troy. Now, you are showing your true colours ‑ spewing veiled but racist threats against the Chinese. You are as dumb as your Umno colleagues by saying that BN equals Malay leadership.

Should BN fall and Pakatan go into Putrajaya with Anwar Ibrahim as the PM and with Malay MPs as the majority in Parliament; isn't this a Malay‑majority government as well? Don't play stupid.

Samurai: Wow, when we criticise the world-witnessed incompetence of our leaders over MH370, we are now criticising the "Malay government". When you criticised the government all the past years after leaving Umno, were you also criticising a "Malay government"? What then does that make you?

The term "Malay government" itself is insulting to all other Malaysians, whether Chinese, Indian, Sikh, Kadazan, Iban and all. So is Selangor also a "Malay government"?

Or perhaps it doesn't qualify, because although led by a Malay MB, Selangor has active participating members of other races, unlike BN, where only the Umno politicians call the shots and the other races are window dressing.

It shows the ketuanan mentality has never left Zaid. As they say, you can take a man out of Umno but you can't take the Umno out of him.

Anonymous_3e79: When the people vote for PKR candidate Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, especially the majority of the Chinese, it will show that the Chinese are NOT against the Malays. They are just 100 percent against Umno-BN.

It's a vote that we do not want a corrupt government, it a vote that we want honesty, it's a vote that we want to progress from the stifling 50 years of Umno misrule.

Kanasai: Who cares whether BN goes to the right or left. Sincerely they have no direction and are clueless how Umno should be managed. Non‑bumis have had enough of their crap and they are already in the worst conditions with all those racist and corrupt policies in place.

Umno has already sucked dry the country's coffer and the rakyat are already in deep shit with never-ending increases in the cost of living. Now the main loser will be the ordinary Malays.

What this frog is saying I cannot comprehend. Is he asking for an invitation to return to Umno?

YUNoAnon: Your flip‑flopping is starting to look like the government's behaviour. You're losing the plot and credibility.

Rakyat Watch: When Zaid joined Pakatan, everybody knew he is a Trojan

Hank Marvin: The bottom line is Umno‑BN is corrupt to the core and averse to democracy and accountability, Zaid. You got it wrong.

And the moment you attack messengers like Malaysiakini, you are gone. You are a useless and brainless comic from Kota Bharu You are just like an aircraft without a pilot, wandering around aimlessly.

Lamborghini: Zaid, I used to respect you and thought that you were one of the moderate right‑thinking Malays. After seeing your actions and antics the last few years, especially in the latest Kajang by-election, all I have left is pity and disdain for you.

Please give us more credit. We are not hating Malays nor ridiculing Malay leaders just because they are Malays. We are sick and tired of being treated as second-class citizens just because of our race, religion and origin.

Try putting yourself in the shoes of the average Chinese Malaysian salaried worker or small business trader. To be constantly discriminated against, reminded that we are pendatangs.

To be asked "Apa lagi Cina mau?" when we are just asking for our constitutional rights and just want to exercise our freedom to vote the party of our choice, which seems more multinational, is what we resent.

Look at how pathetic MCA has become under BN. I am sure BN will lose badly, regardless or maybe because of what you are saying.

Ipohcrite: The rakyat must be crazy to heed Zaid's illogical and absurd advice to vote for BN. Look, Zaid, if you have any beef with Anwar, settle it personally with him. But do not put your own ego and personal interests ahead of the rakyat's.

DAP was right not to accept your membership when you left Umno.

Kit P: I had at one time high hopes that Zaid Ibrahim could be one of the Malay leaders who could lead a change in the country. How disappointing that he has been reduced to yet another Umno apologist.

Spinnot: Vote Zaid Ibrahim for the 'Opportunist of the Year', that may stop Sabah politicians from getting that award.

Doc: 'Vote BN for stability', my foot. Vote BN to promote international and national stupidity.
