Four individuals on MH370's passenger manifest might be linked to stolen or faked passports, acting Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said today.
 
"All the four names are with me. and I have delegated the names to our intelligence agencies and I have also spoken to the international intelligence agencies.
 
“I will be meeting them later this afternoon,” he said, adding that it will be decided at that meeting what can and cannot be revealed.

Yesterday, it was established that an Austrian and an Italian on the passenger manifest did not board the plane.

The duo had their passports stolen in Thailand over the past two years, sparking fears that those documents might have been used by imposters to board the plane.

Hishammuddin refused to name the four suspected individuals but said the names are the same as the ones being mentioned by the media and social media.
 
He also stressed that the entire passenger manifest is being investigated, and every possibility of the aircraft’s fate is being explored.
 
Throughout the press conference’s question and answer session, Hishammuddin was bombarded with questions regarding possible terrorist involvement in the Boeing 777-200ER aircraft’s disappearance and a possible security lapse at the airport.
 
However, he was evasive in his responses, maintaining that investigations will leave no stone unturned.
 
“I have got nothing to hide, but the main thing is - as far for me and the families are concerned - is to find the aircraft,” he said, towards the end on the press conference.
