Let us ponder on these observations:

- A chief minister from a state in east coast complains about police action in his home state. The CM wanted to meet Home Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to air his view, but was accused by the local media of having a political agenda to tarnish police image. Never mind about the police chief of the same state challenging a public debate with his own state government.

- It was only after overwhelming public outcry in response to the Canny Ong tragedy that the home minister and his mercenaries (including media) evaded politically the issue by stating mother-hen excuses i.e the lack of manpower.

- After unauthorised raid on IT experts, the police "took steps" to discipline their force, but only after stern political warning by India to the Malaysian government.

- Police on the other hand has a 20/20 vision when they accused six political leaders of using weapons to overthrow the government - a charge they cannot substantiate intelligently until today.

- Police vision however, was blurred when an Umno 'princess' threatened to burn the office of a rival political party and its newspaper.

I can go on and on recollecting similar action by politicians and police. Since the top brass in police is too obsessed with serving their political masters, my conclusion is not only that they have fail to manage, but they are also confusing their subordinates.
