Angry crowd tries to barge into court
ACR: It has become the norm for these right-wing groups to gather outside the courts. The police should discourage this as the matters being presided upon is sensitive to more than one community and the Christians have rightly stayed away.
This Persatuan Melayu Tanjung (Permata) chairperson Ismail Kassim should be hauled up under Section 3(1)(e) of the Sedition Act 1948 for his “finish them all” threat.
Anon1: They should have let them barge in. Once inside the courtroom, they would looked at one another cluelessly and go, "now what do we do?"
Oriole: Was this a legal gathering? If no permit was issued, how was this allowed? This is clearly a mockery of the home minister, the police and all the legal constraints such as the Peaceful Assembly Act (PAA) that are generally trotted out to prevent peaceful assemblies.
In this case, it was clearly a threatening crowd, out to create damage and to bring harm. Shame on police and shame on the home minister.
This crowd has not only shown you up, but it has also indicated that it has its approval from the highest levels of this government to bring destruction and disharmony upon this nation through hooliganism, threats, bullying and violence.
Unafraid: These Muslims who cause such a ruckus at the court house are a shame to their religion.
Their uncivilised behaviour only makes their religion a laughing stock to the thinking world. They think that might is right and the louder they shout, the more holy they are.
On the contrary, they only make fools of themselves and shame themselves in the eyes of moderate Malaysia and the outside world who are watching the developments with great interest.
I sincerely hope that the esteemed judges inside the courtroom are not influenced by this ‘law of the jungle’ behaviour. If so, then it's a sad day for the judiciary in Malaysia.
Anonymous #25558299: This is all because of idiotic Perkasa leaders, Ibrahim Ali and Irwan Fahmi Ideris. Immediate action by police should be taken against them as it always done against PKR’s Batu MP Tian Chua and other opposition leaders.
The police would have acted immediately if Tian Chua or other opposition leaders protest like this, even if it is for the good of the rakyat.
Malaysia Truly Asia: Human rights lawyer Siti Kassim, your idea to be present in court to show the alternative views of other Malaysians on the ‘Allah’ issue is a noble one, but take into consideration that when it comes to religion, this is a dangerous game to play.
Just like the Christians are fighting to use the word ‘Allah’, in the same vein the Muslims are asking for exclusivity in Malaysia, or basically Peninsular Malaysia.
So all this fighting, has it benefited anyone? Or yes, maybe Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim.
Not Smart: Ibrahim Ali and NGOs, please don't spin and divert attention from the issue when the issue of controversial writer Kassim Ahmad’s and former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s views on the use of hadith and that a woman’s hair is not part of the aurat (parts of the body which need to be covered) are much more serious.
What actions have you all taken on this issue until now? This issue actually threatens Islam and our akidah. If no action is taken immediately, it can lead Muslims to be in disarray in Malaysia.
Siti Kassim, you are a big disgrace and an insult to Islam and Muslims for being clad in your black T-shirt with the words "Almighty Allah, Allah - Lord of the whole world". Look on which part of your body is the scared word, 'Allah', resting.
You have not even covered your aurat, but you want to champion Islam. Go back home and ask your elders if your conduct is a source of shame or fame. Put simply, the actions, conduct and behaviour of these groups do not reflect Islam's true way of life.

YF: The Christians nor the Muslims have ever fought to use the word ‘Allah’ ever since Islam was founded in 632AD. It is only in July 2007 that for the first time in Malaysian history was this an issue raised by Umno for its own political gain.
So for the last 1,375 years of Islamic history, Muslims have never raised this against the Christians nor against any other non-Muslims. Why? Because the Christians and non-Muslims have been using this Arabic word long before Islam was founded.
That is why the whole Muslim world is laughing at the stupidity of Umno for trying to make this non-issue an issue.
