Rosmah: I forgo all for rakyat, even badminton
Ferdtan: What a sacrifice? No time for badminton and no new clothes? Every day PM’s wife Rosmah Mansor is working for the rakyat, yet the rakyat are so cruel for not appreciating her selfless contribution.
“You, ungrateful people, even if you don’t thank me - it is alright but worse, all of you like to make fun of me. Why pick on me?
“I am just an ordinary housewife who once a while distributes water to the kampung folks who have no water to drink due to the interruption in water supply.
“(Seputeh MP) Teresa Kok is worse - she got an actress who many said looks like me ridiculed me about spending extravagance. Why can’t I show off what I can afford? All of you are just jealous.”
On the other hand, Mrs Najib, why are you the only ‘First Lady’ targeted? We have five other ex-PM’s wives and they were never the target for ridicule? Can you answer that?
One more question, who elected you to work for the rakyat? What is your official function? If you have overstretched your ‘duty’, having no free time, then stay at home and be a good housewife instead.
Onyourtoes: Everything is relative; to some giving up some time for others, giving up one’s hobby, dress more modestly, and living a simpler life are great sacrifices which cannot be described in words.
No amount of rewards can compensate the “sacrifices” that person has made, not even private jetting, Birkin bags, diamond rings, a Central Park apartment and a Los Angeles house.
I also made lots of sacrifice for my family and others - my time, my hobbies, no overseas holidays for years, never wear expensive dress, and eat only in hawker centres.
But I didn’t complain even though I have only my family and those I helped appreciating what I did for them. Yes, everything is relative and based on one’s own expectation and values.
Primus: Malaysia is a constitutional monarchy state. Our legal system does not recognise a First Lady nor does it recognise any official role to be played by the wife of the prime minister.
If anything official, it should be the Permaisuri Agong. The PM's wife is merely a wife of a country’s leader - she has neither locus nor legitimacy to make such claim against the rakyat as if she is holding a public office.
Milosevic: I must say she has balls. Mr Soft should get a testosterone infusion from her. She has worked very hard for the rakyat, but uneasy is the head who wears the crown.
We expect even more from her. Rosmah can start by doing a C4 on Perkasa and Isma. They are a national disgrace and a national menace, willing to do violence on the country.
Rosmah, line all these characters up and spank them hard. Then whack them with a badminton racket.
If you do this, I promise to play badminton with you after your service for the nation. I will also supply you with nice bright batik dresses to wear - that should please Mr Soft.
BN Cyberpooper: First of all, I want to recognise the sacrifices made by other individuals for the betterment of democracy and society, individuals like Bersih’s S Ambiga and Tenaganita's Irene Fernandez, etc, who never once complained about what they have given up.
Wallowing in self-pity and talking about one's own sacrifice are indications of hypocrisy and inauthenticity. I am not sure how this part of her speech ties in to an event like National Crafts Day.
Rosmah, please heed my advice: If one truly believes in a cause, no cost is too great.
If you feel that helping the rakyat is something you "have to" do, and that giving up badminton time is a "sacrifice", then it clearly shows some reluctance on your part. So do yourself a favour and stop torturing yourself. Go play some badminton and leave us alone.

We know you have wangled an involvement only to be in the limelight - a position you must crave desperately for - and got involved only in activities that afford you that. You have done nothing for the Penan girls and women who have been raped.
Your dalliance with education for youngsters - for which you are ill equipped to handle - has not even scratched the surface in East Malaysia, while the results of your efforts in Peninsular Malaysia are unknown.

However, no doubt she can console herself in some measure by taking a few international shopping trips (in the government private jet, of course), and purchasing a few more clothes, handbags and jewelry.
Hmmmmmmmm: Rosmah, the greatest service that you can do for the rakyat is to do nothing. I really mean it. Just stay home and do whatever you fancy inside your home. Don't do or say anything in public.
