"The state government will implement scheduled water supply starting tomorrow, and focus will be given to areas that are facing (water) problems," Khalid said on his Twitter .
The rationing will take the form of two days with water supply followed by two days without, on a rotational basis, according to a report today by state media

Khalid ( right ) reportedly said the rationing is expected to last until the end of March, when consistent rainfall is expected to help the dam's water capacity to recover.
"This way is better than no water at all. This will help resolve the problem of low water pressure," he is quoted as saying.
In a statement later, Khalid said that water levels at the dams are now in “critical” levels, resulting in the rationing although the state will continue its cloud seeding efforts.
The state MB did not provide a list of affected areas, but he said that the rationing affects the Sungai Rasa and the Sungai Selangor 1, 2, and 3 treatment plants.
Affected areas in Klang Valley
About a million Klang Valley residents were affected when the Sungai Selangor 1, 2, and 3 and Rantau Panjang water treatment plants had been shut down after an oil spill in August last year.
The Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) has announced that the areas affected are Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, Klang/Shah Alam, Gombak, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat, and Kuala Selangor.
Last week, it was reported that several areas in Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat and Balakong were facing water disruption due to the shutting down of the Bukit Tampoi and Cheras 11 water treatment plants.
The plants were shut down since Jan 28 because they were unable to process the water in Sungai Langat as its ammonia concentration had increased due to the dry weather.
Around 27,000 households were affected by the problem.
Surrounding areas have also been plagued with low water pressure due to diversion of water to the affected areas.
