Odin: DAP leader Lim Kit Siang, you and we know that the police and the attorney-general will not take any action against Utusan Malaysia immediate or delayed; both are Umno's tools.

The BN component parties, on the other hand, are completely unable to make a stand on this sort of thing, as their members are spineless blobs of inconsequential organisms.

Toonarmy: Who is going to act against Utusan? The Polis Umno Baru? Not a chance, the inspector-general of police (IGP) is too busy giving final warnings on behalf of Jakim.

Even Valentine's Day is being used as a divisive factor by these extremists.

ACR: The Utusan article needs correcting. Non-Malays, starting with the British and then the Malayan Chinese, had controlled the nation's economy in the early years of independence (and not now, as claimed) but the advent of the NEP brought overwhelming Malay control of key sectors of the economy.

Now, just a select few Umno cronies are controlling key sectors of the economy. The Malays have to realise this for themselves, but it is easier perhaps to be taken in by a 89-year-old man who was a former PM when he talks about race and religion.

Next, Malays did not give citizenship to non-Malays on a platter. The non-Malays were the reason this nation prospered in its formative years - rubber, tin mining and transportation to affect commerce and trade. That 89-year-old man himself had alluded to this.

JMC: When the extremists, Utusan, Perkasa and others attack the non-Malays, it is the Malays in PAS and PKR who come to the latter's defence. Where are the Malays in Umno who claim to be moderates and who had formulated the 1Malaysia slogan?

When the extremists are threatening violence, where is our PM and his deputy who are supposed to be leaders for all races? What respect do they have for their allies, MCA and MIC, in BN?

In this situation who do you expect the non-Malays to support - Umno or PAS? BN or Pakatan Rakyat?

Anonymous #039163649: According to former Aliran member Chandra Muzaffar in the The Star's letters column on Jan 21, 2014 in an article titled 'Rising living cost and ethnic relations', he wrote, "..sometimes, the elite, unable to arrest the decline of the economy, may deliberately manipulate ethnic fears in order to divert the people’s anger and perpetuate their own power. We should not fall into this ethnic trap."

So I think, the powers-that-be when they sense their power waning are always try to create conflict among the people to consolidate their hold on power.

In India, the parties in power have been known to create caste wars to stay in power, so it is possible that in Malaysia someone badly wants to create a religion-based conflict. If we identify who benefits most through such a conflict, there we have our answer as to "whodunit".

Swipenter: The ultra and extremist Malays have been threatening the non-Malays with violence and bloodshed ever since the May 13, 1969 incident. Even the present PM, when he was Umno Youth, allegedly threatened to bathe the Malay keris in Chinese blood.

Now are they are going to beyond threatening? If ever there is another May 13 incident, the Umno Malays and their cronies would be the biggest losers.

They are in control of all the keys sectors of the economy. It is a myth perpetuated by them that the Chinese are in control of the economy.

Ronald: Kit Siang, our only recourse is to take these fellows to court and sue their pants off, just as some of your colleagues have successfully done. This latest article in Utusan clearly violates the constitution and it is seditious.

Have your fellow Pakatan colleagues all over the country lodge police reports against Utusan. And when hundreds or thousands of police reports are registered, the police will have to eventually act.

And the same goes for the AG's Chambers. Let's pray very hard that sanity prevails eventually.

Goh Pick Ting: Excuse me Lim, don't you know that laws in Malaysia are only applicable to certain groups of people only?

DontPlayGod: Asking Umno to take action against Utusan is like asking Umno to take action against itself. Have you heard of Utusan being suspended or warned at any time in its history?
