A day after arresting a man for an anti-Hindu Facebook post, police have detained another Internet user.

This time, a woman has been arrested for allegedly making a Facebook post against Islam and the Selangor sultan.

"Another arrest of those involved in insulting religion and the sultan in Kajang just now. Everyone is responsible to protect harmony in Malaysia," said Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar on Twitter.

According to Utusan Malaysia, the 27-year-old was arrested at her home in Kajang at about 1am today and had her statement taken at the Shah Alam district police headquarters.
            
It was reported that she was detained to "assist investigations regarding a blog which had published a posting from a Facebook account".

The Facebook posting is said to "contain seditious content, derision and unreasonable slander towards Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah".

Screenshots of the contentious Facebook posting circulating on the internet showed that it contained harsh language.

The Facebook user was protesting the ban of the use of 'Allah' by non-Muslims in the state.

Yesterday, police had arrested a Facebook user for sedition over a post he allegedly made, equating devotees at the Thaipusam festival to "devils".
