Pakatan Rakyat uses ‘Ubah’ to portray itself a clean political coalition. Ironically, the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) of the Pakatan-led Selangor government had hired contractual staff with overlapping job scopes at a very high salary benefitting their cronies.

If it was not for the director of the PKNS board who was removed controversially and which exposed the power struggle within PKR, the people will continue to be hoodwinked to think that Pakatan is as clean as a sheet of white paper; they will never know that even in Pakatan, cronyism is widely practised in the Pakatan system.  

If the Pakatan-led Selangor government is determined to practise a transparent administration, it must disclose the selection process and the salary scheme of Selangor government employees so that the people will know better on how it works.

The cronyism in the Selangor government, according to the state's Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim, had cost the state government RM7 million a year. These employees were paid ludicrously high salaries but with overlapping job functions, this is actually a waste of taxpayers' money.

The state government must explain why these contractual stuff were paid an extremely high salary but with an overlapping job scope.

I urge the public to continue to assert pressure on this issue and chase for an explanation. After all, it is the people's money that the Pakatan-helmed state government was wasting. We must not let them get away scot free.
