Can Sarawakians still trust Umno?

YOURSAY ‘Keeping ‘Sarawak for Sarawakians’ is really keeping Sarawak for Umno.’
Zahid: Umno will respect 'Sarawak for Sarawakians'
Fairplayer: Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, we, the well-informed Sarawakians want to know whether Umno respects the 18- and 20-point Malaysia Agreement for Sarawak and Sabah respectively?
All we see in the last 50 years, Sarawakians and Sabahans have been cheated and conned of our mineral resources.
What is 5 percent royalty each to Sarawak and Sabah compared to 95 percent the two states piped to Kuala Lumpur?
In short, Sarawak and Sabah get five miserable percent, while KL sucks up the lion share of 190 percent.
Odin: Zahid, Umno will respect 'Sarawak for Sarawakians' for as long as the 18-point Agreement is dishonoured.
Once Sarawak presses for it to be reviewed and any breaches redressed, it will be a different story altogether - the Stephen Kalong Ningkan episode will be repeated.
The Observer: When has Umno ever told the truth? When has Umno ever kept its promises? Remember the Malaysia Agreement, the 10-point solution, the peace agreement with Communist Party of Malaya (CPM), and the social contract to name a few.
Trublumalaysian: For all it’s worth, Sarawak CM Abdul Taib Mahmud does have my respect but for one salient reason. He kept the mainland wolves/vultures on a diplomatic leash and hold them at bay all these years.
Onyourtoes: Can’t we see this is just PBB buying a new lease of life by pretending to be anti-Umno and federation, knowing that Umno is so unpopular right now throughout the whole country?
PBB is actually ‘Umno’. Keeping ‘Sarawak for Sarawakians’ is really keeping Sarawak for Umno, I think the whole world knows it. Umno would have gone into Sarawak a long time ago if PBB was not doing the errands for Umno.
Umno is worried of Pakatan Rakyat from the peninsula going into Sarawak. So Umno readily agrees to Sarawak for Sarawakians. It knows they can buy, bully and handle the Sarawak-based parties, but not Pakatan from peninsula.
Federalisation and Islamisation have gone on in Sarawak for longer than most of you know. Just look at those manning the federal departments at the state and those manning the state government machinery.
Who you think the majority are - native Christians, native Muslims, Malay Muslims, non-natives, non-Muslims? Go figure this out.
Whatsup: Only fools believe you, Zahid. Whenever you say something, the opposite is true and worse.
When you said it's for Sarawakians, it means Umno already has total control of Sarawakians and have them eating from your hands.
Unafraid: Does Zahid fully understand the implications of what he is saying? It means that ‘Allah’ can be used by the Christians in Sarawak no matter what the court decides. Can he accept that?
More significantly, it means that there are two separate practices of Islam in Malaysia.
According to the ‘Semenanjung’ brand of Islam, ‘Allah’ is not allowed to be used by non-Muslims. But strange enough, the same word for God can be used by the Sarawakans. How come?
Are there two different Allahs or it all books down to political Islam depending on the whims and dictates of the Umno politicians. That's why Malaysia is the laughing stock of the Muslim world from Saudi Arabia to Indonesia.
The longer the inconsistency remains, the bigger the joke.
Old Timer: Can you really trust someone who said a monetary offer to slap a person is not a threat? And that it can be considered only a threat if it really happens or if it is an offer to murder someone.
Thequest: When all is said and done, it was Anwar Ibrahim who took Umno to Sabah. Now PKR, DAP and PAS are contesting in both Sabah and Sarawak. At least, Umno is keeping out of Sarawak.
Doc: Umno will respect 'Sarawak for Sarawakians' so long as the Sarawakians keep voting overwhelmingly for BN and keep the crooks and scoundrels of Umno in power.
Fernz: It's interesting that the home minister should claim that he and the IGP (inspector-general of police) visited Sarawak on Monday and met with Taib and others to discuss the security situation in the state.
They can't even handle security in Sabah.
SpongeBob: PBB plunders Sarawak. Umno plunders Peninsular Malaysia. Both are happy reinforcing and respecting their plundering ideal.
