Multi Racial: I am not Persatuan Hindraf Malaysia (PHM) chairperson P Waythamoorthy's fan. But by resigning as deputy minister and senator, Waythamoorthy has earned a lot of respect.
This is something none of the existing leaders in BN will do. Waythamoorthy has established that he is a true Indian leader compared to those in MIC.
The majority of Malaysians knew Waythamoorthy had been used by PM Najib Razak and Umno. Their primary interest is to swing as many votes to BN during GE13. Solving Waythamoorthy’s or Hindraf’s problems was never on their agenda.
I hope Waythamoorthy will learn from this - never sleep with the enemy.
Cry, My Beloved Country: Whatever might be said, the long overdue resignation undoubtedly gives Waythamoorthy an opportunity now to pursue the proposals for the advancement of Indian Malaysians from outside the corridors of pomp and power.
Whether he will do so remains to be seen. He will not get another opportunity to redeem his credibility.
Abasir: Waythamoorthy may not have realised it yet, but this resignation was exactly what Premier Najib Abdul Razak and Umno wanted and what they have worked at for eight long months.
They are probably saying at the PMO (Prime Minister’s Office) over glasses of ‘sirap bandung’: “Better late than never”.
Dex: Waythamoorthy, there is a long and winding road ahead of you before you can redeem yourself and your honour.

I believe it would indeed be honourable for Waythamoorthy to quit the very moment when his brother was thrown into jail by Najib's government.
Waythamoorthy's politicking all along has been devoid of honour. When he demanded three parliamentary seats from Pakatan Rakyat in GE13, Waythamoorthy was actually allocating the three seats for himself, national advisor P Ganeson and national secretary P Ramesh.
Anwar was smart in not giving in to Waythamoorthy. When he paid homage to Najib, the demands for parliamentary and state seats were never raised for Waythamoorthy knew too well that Najib could make him a backdoor minister, leaving his two jokers high and dry.
Real Truth: Since Waythamoorthy has resigned his government position, now he can pursue the class action case against the Queen's government for ditching the Indians.
The case must be pending awaiting someone to continue to its fruition. Each Indian was promised a huge amount if the case was won.
Indeed, Waythamoorthy too is as guilty as much as Najib to con the Indians.
Fair Play: Why keep bashing Waythamoorthy? Whatever he had done in the past, he has done the most honourable thing by resigning as a deputy minister and senator. In truth, this is a hard slap to PM Najib and his 'promises'.
Compare to those boot-licking leaders in MIC and MCA, Waythamoorthy looks and acts like an angel. Let's move on.
Besides, name one high level politician from MIC or MCA who resigned based on principles, rather than being booted out.
Concerned Malaysian: It is typical of the empty drums known as PPP and MIC to make statements that only show their empty and shallow attitude.
For Waythamoorthy to give up all the perks shows that he was there not for perks, but to genuinely try to make a difference to the lives of the downtrodden Indians. God bless you.

Sinner: Better resign than be asked to leave by Umno. Waythamoorthy was being used by Umno to sway the Indian votes in GE13.
As it turned out, the Indians were not swayed at all. Najib has been waiting since GE13 for a suitable time to tell him to go fly kites.

Now go and visit your poor brother who is still struggling for the cause of the Indians.
