I agree with the letter by Speak Up querying the missing banners for peace in Aceh. I am shocked to read the atrocities being committed by the Indonesian military where civilians are being shot at and villages burnt to the ground.

This is disturbing. Is the world now following in the steps of Israel and the USA in their disregard for peoples' freedom? Why freedom for East Timor but no freedom for Aceh? Is it because o­nly Christians deserve human rights but not Muslims?
