Higher volume slows traffic flow on NSE

Traffic flow out of Kuala Lumpur to the north and south on the North-South Expressway was reported to be slow this afternoon on the eve of Chinese New Year.
Traffic volume had increased and two accidents caused traffic to slow down.
Traffic flow out of Kuala Lumpur to the north and south on the North-South Expressway was reported to be slow this afternoon on the eve of Chinese New Year.
A spokesperson of the Traffic Control Centre of Plus Expressways Sdn Bhd said the traffic volume had increased and two accidents caused traffic to slow down.
“The accidents occurred at stretches between Kulai and Sedenak and between Bangi and Putra Mahkota at 11.30am and 11.55am, respectively,” he said when contacted by Bernama.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson of the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) said traffic flow was slow at the stretch between Kulai and Sedenak where an accident had occurred.
“With an increase in the volume of traffic, there was a slight congestion especially at stretches between Nilai and Seremban and between Slim River and Gopeng,” he said.
Motorists have been advised to exercise caution when approached the stretches where the accident had occurred and to adhere to the speed limit.
